Marshals and/ or PSNI will be stationed along the route at all major junctions. Roads will reopen behind the last runner and therefore timings are likely to be shorter than outlined below.

Glenarm Road- Victoria Road- Pound Street- A8 Dual Carriageway- Harbour Highway- Redlands Road- Harbour Highway- Circular Road- Main Street- High Street- Pound Street- Victoria Road- Glenarm Road- A2 Coast Road- Grace Avenue- Grace Avenue North- Croft Road- Cairncastle Road- A2 Coast Road- Promenade- Chaine Memorial Road

Glenarm Road- road closure 08:00-14:00
​
This year, the race will start on Glenarm Road, between numbers 51 and 80. The entire road will be in use for the event, with no waiting cones placed between Victoria Road and Promenade. Barriers will be set up to ensure residents can still access their homes. If you usually park along this section, please use Larne Town Parks or parking at the lower end of Glenarm Road if you think you'll need to come and go during the race.

Residents at the lower end of Glenarm Road (below Victoria Road) and Lansdowne Crescent will be able to exit up until 10:30. We expect access to this area to be fully open from 12noon.

Victoria Road- road closure 08:00- 12:30
​
This year, cones will be placed along the white line on Victoria Road to accommodate counter flow runners. The entire road will be used for the event, and there will be no waiting cones between Glenarm Road and The Roddens. Those who typically park in this area are advised to use Fairhill Car Park (or Riverdale if an early departure from the vicinity is required).

Residents, including those on Princes Gardens and Exchange Road, will have egress until 10:30. Marshals and PSNI officers will be present to facilitate access to St MacNissi’s Chapel and Gardenmore Presbyterian Church. We expect access to this area to be fully open from 12:30 latest, once the race is past and cones have been safely removed.

Pound Street (Gardenmore Place)- road closure High Street-A8 10:30-11:30
​
This year the route will go along Pound Street onto the A8 Dual Carriageway. This stretch is expected to be closed from 10:30 and reopen behind the last runner. Note access to High Street will be unavailable until 12:30 latest and traffic should instead use Riverdale to access Bridge Street.

Pound Street (St John’s Place/ Bryan Street/ Ronald Street/ Elizabeth Avenue)- road closure High Street- Victoria Road 10:30-12:30
​
This stretch of Pound Street will have cones along the centre line to accommodate counterflow runners. The road will open once the last runner has passed and the cones have been safely removed ~12:30 latest.

A8 Dual Carriageway/ Harbour Highway- road closure 10:45- 11:20
​
Road closures will be in place between Antiville Roundabout and Harbour Roundabouts to allow the race to proceed along the A8 Dual Carriageway and Harbour Highways. The road will be closed in both directions until the last runner has reached Redlands Road when single lane traffic will be facilitated in both directions.

Redlands Road- road closure 10:30- 12:00​
This road will open behind the last runner.
Circular Road- road closure 10:30-12:00
This road will open behind the last runner.
Main Street- road closure 10:30- 12:30
This road will open behind the last runner.
High Street- road closure 10:30-12:30
High Street between Main Street and Pound Street will be closed during the road closure. Access to Pound Street via Riverdale will be available from ~11:30.

A2 Coast Road/ Drains Bay- road closure 08:00- 14:30
​
Road closed between Glenarm Road and Cairncastle Road. Cones will be placed on the centre white line to facilitate counterflow runners. Drains Bay/ Carnfunnock will be accessible until 10:30 via Branch Road. Residents will be able to exit until 10:30 via Branch Road and Cairncastle Road. This will be a rolling road closure with the road opening between Branch Road and Ballygally behind last runner in the first instance, and then from Glenarm Road when safe to do so.

Ballygally (Grace Avenue, Grace Avenue North, Croft Road & Cairncastle Road)- road closures 10:30- 13:30
​
As per previous years the race will circle the village before heading back towards Larne. Residents are requested to park off the race route. Anyone needing to leave this area on race day is advised to leave their vehicle on Cairncastle Road, outside the primary school, or on Croft Road beyond Grace Avenue North entrance.

Promenade/ Chaine Memorial Road/ Rugby Road/ Chelmsford Avenue- road closure 08:00-15:00
​
The race will finish this year just before the Chaine Memorial Tower. Residents are requested not to park on Chaine Memorial Road between Tower Road and Chelmsford Avenue. Any resident who needs to leave this area on race day is advised to leave their vehicle at Larne Leisure Centre or Chaine Memorial Road between Chelmsford Avenue and Bay Road.
No waiting cones will be placed on Chaine Memorial Road from Tower Road to Chaine Memorial Tower to facilitate event set up on Saturday 23 August.
